pick your own lavender
Please be aware that the 2025 lavender season has now finished. We’ll see you again in 2026!
Visit our field to relax and pick your own bunch of lavender on pick-your-own days in July! Tickets are required and can be purchased in advance here. Please do not show up to the farm without pre-selecting a ticket time. Children 10 years and under are free, and are welcome to assist you in cutting your lavender bunch, but will not be provided with their own flower snips or cup.
We will provide you with a 16 oz paper cup to pick your lavender into, and the lavender that fits within the cup is included as a “bunch” in your ticket price. Please make sure to return your flower snips at the end of your stay.
Phone photography & selfies are encouraged in our field! However, if you are planning a photoshoot, please see section below. During regular hours we do not permit planned photoshoots (anything involving a DSLR and making people feel like they need to ‘stay out of your shot’ – see section below!).
Parking & information
Our address is 867 Country Street, Almonte Ontario, K0A 1A0. Parking is available on-site, and signs will direct you to the road allowance to the northwest of our laneway. Parking is on grass.
Please wear close-toed flat shoes, and bring a hat and sunscreen as needed for your visit. Our field is in full sun, and little shade is available.
Please note that honey and wild bees alike love lavender, and as a result our field is always buzzing with hundreds of beautiful bees. If you have an anaphylactic allergy to bees or wasps, visiting our field is not recommended.
Although we love your furry friends, nobody wants lavender that has been peed on, and our farm is home to chickens and pigs. Therefore, dogs are not permitted on our farm.
In the case of extreme weather (eg. tornado risk, lightning), we will refund your ticket and you may reschedule your date if available time slots remain. Light rain is perfectly suitable for cutting flowers, and therefore tickets will not be refunded in the event of rain. Please dress appropriately.
photography sessions
Private photography sessions in our field are available while our fields are closed to u-pick. Tickets must be pre-purchased, and may be obtained here. We do not provide the photographer – this ticket is for field access only and does not include picking the lavender. If you would like your clients to be able to pick lavender, kindly contact us with the number of clients you will have and we can add it to your price. We limit the number of people in our field to one group at a time, making it possible for you to keep other people out of the background of your photos, and giving you a more relaxing private atmosphere. Groups are limited to maximum 8 families per time slot for mini sessions. Please provide clients with above information, and ensure they wear flat, closed toe shoes and change into heels once they are in place. Walking in heels to the field is a surefire way to roll an ankle!
The field will start out in full sun and by 8pm will be entirely in shade, with it setting behind a large willow tree. You are also welcome to shoot in our meadow, but you do not have access to our cut flower garden. Please keep out of the fenced garden.
